Graham Jarvis has taken victory at the Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro

From Husaberg

The 36-year-old was in a class of his own during the three-hour main event, riding a Husaberg TE 300 two-stroke to victory against Australia's leading off-road riders.

In a unique event that features a variety of obstacles including rocks, bricks, logs, balancing beams, tyres and dismantled ute trays, Jarvis made light work of the course to take home the $10,000 in prize money for the victory.

"I didn't know what to expect," Jarvis said. "The rain made it more difficult and it is a hard event, but it's a great event. I really hope to come back next year and have another crack at it."

Jarvis won the main event by a full lap in a spectacular display of riding, adding the victory to the Red Bull Sea to Sky Extreme Enduro that he won in Turkey last month.

The Englishman also took victory in almost all other world-class Extreme Enduro events such as Red Bull Romaniacs, Hell's Gate and The Tough One this seasons and will be on his way to South Africa shortly to make his debut at the last big event of the year, the Roof of Africa.

Jarvis had support from Top Gear Husaberg in Seaford, as well as Sunbury Bike Hub, during his stay in Australia.

KTM Canada adds National #2 Dusty Klatt to powerful MX1 Team

From KTM Canada

Just weeks after the announcement that National #1 Colton Facciotti would join the orange squad, KTM Canada is excited to report the signing of National #2 Dusty Klatt. With this 1-2 duo headlining the KTM MX1 squad, the team looks forward to battling for moto wins and ultimately working hard to earn KTM Canada their first Canadian MX1 Championship.

Dusty is a proven champion in Canada. ?I feel he has what it takes to win again in 2012. I am sure at round #1 Dusty will be ready to put that 450 SX-F on the podium,? said KTM Racing Manager Andy White.

As a two-time Canadian National MX1 Champion and a former two-time MX2 West title holder, Klatt knows what it takes to win. With a new bike and a new set of challenges ahead, the Campbell River, BC native is more motivated than ever to reach the top step of the podium this season.

?I?m excited about riding and learning a new bike and I?m looking forward to all the challenges ahead of me,? said Klatt. ?It?s going to be fun. It?s like getting a fresh start. I am looking forward to testing and getting the bike dialed in and ready for the season.?

Klatt?s signing reinforces KTM Canada?s continued commitment to racing, and ultimately, to winning. With a MX1 championship team now assembled, the entire KTM squad is ready to put in the hard work needed to compete at the highest level this summer.

JCR/Honda?s Timmy Weigand is back with a vengeance, taking home a convincing win at the 2012 Soboba GP!

Timmy Weigand started the year off by knocking one out of the park with a convincing win at his first race of 2012, taking home the $2000.00 winner?s purse! Colton Udall was also on hand and was flying but a crash set him back to 3rd for the day. The Legendary ?Soboba Grand Prix? was held this past weekend January 15, 2012 on the Soboba Indian reservation and featured a 6.5 mile course that was a mix of twisty tight terrain and high speed 2 track.

?Overall the track was awesome. I was tight for the first hour but felt way better the second hour. Surprisingly after a year of working a normal job I still have some kind of fitness. I am looking forward to this year of racing. It feels nice to be back. This was also my first race in my fresh new Fly Racing gear. The helmet is awesome!? ? Timmy Weigand

?I couldn?t be more pleased with having TW back on the JCR/Honda team and to start off the year with a big win at Soboba is awesome. I grew up going to this famous GP and watched my former mentor and hero, Bruce Ogilvie, win here in 1987 on a Honda XR600R. Good job Timmy!!? ?Johnny Campbell

Lake Elsinore Motocross Park is the New Southern California Home of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Finale

MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli Sports announce that the brand new Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park will become the new home of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, in Southern California. On the heels of announcing the 2012 series schedule and advance ticket sales for next summer, both parties are pleased to welcome the completely renovated Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park as the host site of the season finale, set to take place on Saturday, September 8, 2012.

Located in the hotbed of the motocross industry, and about an hour outside of the major metropolitan areas of Los Angeles and San Diego, Lake Elsinore serves as an ideal location for fans of the sport across the entire southern portion of the state. It's also well-known to students of the sport's history as the site of the Lake Elsinore Grand Prix, which was featured prominently in the epic motorcycle racing documentary film On Any Sunday back in 1971 - one year before the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship was born.

Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is expanding

Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is expanding

If the already spectacular Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum wasn't enough, George Barber has decided it needs something more and is completing plans for a 100,000 square foot expansion to be built inside the track. It will be connected to the existing 140,000 square foot museum by an enclosed bridge over the track where you'll be able to observe motorcycles and cars racing underneath.

The existing museum holds about half of the Barber collection and the new addition will allow a great deal more to be available for public view. Groundbreaking will take place this year.

If this wasn't already on your list of must see attractions, the addition will make it pretty much mandatory.

Thanks for the tip, Walter.

Team Courage Gazelles Announcement

January 17, 2012 by

Team Courage Gazelles regrets to announce that they will have to postpone their run for the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles in Morocco until 2013.  Unfortunately, team member Michele Martineau, a breast cancer previvor, must undergo surgery due to reconstruction complications.  Doctor?s are insisting that she not race for all of 2012, not only putting on hold the team?s Gazelle campaign, but also Michele?s goal of racing in 4 different countries this year.

TCG plans on using this bonus year to further their fundraising campaign for breast cancer research, expand their social networks, and form more partnerships.  A documentary is still a possibility and sponsor Soulside Network will remain on board.

?It?s heartbreaking to have to postpone our entry in the Gazelle Rally, and I never imagined I would have to take an entire year off,? Michele said of the news. ?I?m trying not to be overwhelmed by my upcoming surgeries, and focusing on getting through it and through physical therapy helps. And knowing that Emme, my team, and our supporters are behind me truly makes a difference?and my new tattoos help too.?

Team mate Emme Hall stands by Michele one hundred percent.  ?They say there are no friends in racing but I beg to differ.  I started this journey with Michele and I?ll be damned if I don?t finish it with her.  Am I disappointed?  Of course, but I?m excited to have another year to talk about Team Courage Gazelles and our mission to inspire women facing breast cancer to acknowledge their fear but not let it stop them from chasing their dreams.?

All 4 ladies from the umbrella team of Team Courage Racing, Heather Berger, Betsy Anderson, Emme, and Michele will be at the NORRA Mexican 1000, either racing it or working it and Emme will be skipping around different series this year in her newly purchased 2/1600.  ?If you see any of us out and about, please say hi!  We love chatting with people about Team Courage Racing?or just racing in general.?

You can keep up with Team Courage Gazelles on Facebook at www.facebook.com/teamcouragegazelles, twitter @couragegazelles, and on the web at www.teamcouragegazelles.com.

?So many racers have been so supportive of Team Courage as well as Courage Is My Strength,? says Michele.  ?Your support means the world to me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.?

About Team Courage

Team Courage is a combination of 4 dynamic women racing to make a difference against breast cancer. Betsy, Emme, Heather, and Michele race as Team Courage in various off road sports, raising money for different breast cancer charities. About the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles

The Rallye Aicha des Gazelles is an all female, nine day rally through the harsh desert of Morocco using only traditional methods of navigation.  The Gazelles use outdated maps and a compass rather than GPS to find their way to checkpoints.  Points are awarded for shortest distance traveled rather than fastest time.  The rallye puts its strength and its image to the service of all through the Heart of Gazelles, a registered non-profit organization in existence since 2011.  The Heart of Gazelles works with the Moroccan government on projects such as providing access to medical care, building schools, and assisting with sustainable development.  More information can be found at www.rallyeaichadesgazelles.com
